Across the street from the University there has been a giant billboard for the past few weeks sponsored by the Cristiana Pentecostés Movimiento Misionero Mundial (Pentecostal Christian Church World Missionary Movement). At first it was very subtle...just a picture of a family: a man, woman, and child and something about how they were a happy family. It was clearly promoting the "traditional" family but was not very obvious.
However, today when I arrived the the University, the billboard had changed. This is what it looks like now:

It is jarring to see such an obvious attack on homosexuality and gay relationships/marriage. I can't believe what it must be like for students/citizens who are gay to have to walk by this every day. It is already bad enough for them in Peru.
